If you are going to Alaska, what can you do there? You might not know this but Alaks had 3000 rivers and 3 million lakes. And, 17 of the 20 highest peaks in the US is in Alaska. This shows us that there are many things to see and do in Alaska. If you take a vacation in Alaska, here are some things that you can do.
You might be interested in visiting the Mendenhall Glacier. Most people stay in the visitor’s center where they can have a good view of the glacier. Here, in this warm place, you can watch the glacier in a sheltered place. If you want a closer look at the glacier, then you can use the trails to do this and experience local wildlife at the same time.

Another attraction in Alaska is Denali National Park. This is the highest peak in North America. You can take a bus tour through the national park where you will see wolves, grizzlies, caribous, Dall sheep, mice, and more. Here you wil find natural sights like tundras, lakes and rivers, and unique geological formations.
Perhaps you have dreamed of seeing the northern lights. You now have a chance to see it in its reality. When in Alaska, you should gaze up on the northern lights on a clear night. This experience is a once-in-a-life time one.
You can also go biking along the Cook Inlet Arm which is a long coastal trail. This can be completed in a whole day and it is really worth it.
If you are a lover of marine life, then you should not miss the Kenai Fjords Day Cruise. Puffins, orcas, otters, harbor seals, Minke whales, Dall’s porpoises, etc., are abundant in this place. Incredible mountain scens and tidewater glaciers are great subjects for your photographs.
The Sitka National Historical Park is the oldest national park in Alaska. You can learn many things about totem poles, native artifacts, temperate rainforests, and beaches.

Salmon fishing is something you should not miss in Alaska. You can catch your salmon dinner from several Alskan river banks. You can either join a salmon charter or get a fishing license from the Alaska Dept of Fish and Game.
There are other things to do in Alaska like visiting the ghost town of Kennicott and Wrangell St Elias National Park, seeing the shifting sands of Kobuk Valley National Park, and visiting the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, but the activities mentioned above is enough to entice you to come and visit Alaska.
